The Posh
Band formed in 1977 as a vehicle to further the
English traditional music and song, its members
had already performed individually for several years.
They have played at some of the country’s
largest festivals and smallest pubs. Simon Ritchie
sings the odd, often humorous song, provides the
melody backbone and is four times—and current—Dartmoor
Traditional Step-dance Champion. In recent years
they have played at the Royal Festival Hall, Cambridge
Festival and the National Fest. (Wot, no drums?)
