This 17-piece
band is equally at home in a concert environment
as they are in a strict-tempo ballroom or local
club. Whatever the venue, their performance is electric,
spontaneous and full of vitality and enthusiasm.
They are immaculately turned out in their black
polo-shirts, which sport the distinctive 78RPM logo,
or dinner jackets for the more formal occasions.
Formed in 1990 by band-leader Julian Landymore,
they have played many venues, including The Blue
Bell at the Carlton Towers in Knightsbridge, the
Marbella Club and the Duxford Imperial War Museum.
To complement this big band, a vocalist is available
by prior arrangement to add a little extra ‘wow’,
recreating songs by Frank Sinatra, Nat ‘King’
Cole and Andy Williams.

and the Sounds of Swing Orchestra were formed in
1977 and have gone from strength to strength. Featuring
the very best professional musicians and singers,
they skilfully recreate the exciting sound of big
bands of the past, such as Benny Goodman, Glenn
Miller and Count Basie. Ideal for themed 40s dance
nights, charity shows, weddings and private parties.
